Tumbling down the rabbit hole...
So, I was going to go to bed, and then I figured that with one more post to do, I may as well get it done and dusted!
In honour of my completing this program, I revisited image generators, and created this:

Although I'm fairly au fait with most Web stuffs, I have to say that undertaking Learning 2.0 was inordinate amounts of fun! Even if I was familiar with the concepts of certain things, I came across many incarnations I had not seen before, which just made it all the more fun. I'm all about the research - all about finding new things and having a bash at them, so this has worked incredibly well for me!
It's hard to know what my favourite was, though. I think that increasing my knowledge in so many areas has been beneficial all-round. I could see myself using most of these things at some point - whether or not I DO is another matter entirely! ;-)
If anything, I think that this shows how crucial it is to be familiar with all the apps and sites we've been learning about. Technology changes at the rate of knots, and whilst most people my age and younger have grown up with computers and are able to adapt quite easily to all that's new and different - that isn't the case for everybody.
Again, referring back to my Bravo Two Zero post, libraries need to be able to adapt with the changes also, in order to remain relevant. The great thing about this program is that it WAS fun...and I think it's so much easier to learn new things when you're actually putting them into practise - getting hands-on about it. You can read about things until you're blue in the face, but I think it's difficult to retain the knowledge unless you're in there, having a crack at it.
I could be slightly biased, because I find all this sort of thing fun - but it just goes to show how varied people are in how they handle technology in its various forms. Which is why having the knowledge is so crucial for dealing with library patrons - we don't know what they're going to need help with in the not-too-distant, so doing the groundwork so we can more readily adapt to improvements and changes will stand us - and the patrons! - in excellent stead! :-D
Like Neo in The Matrix, it all feels a bit like tumbling down the rabbit hole, not knowing where we're headed or what's coming. But if we're ready for anything? We'll be prepared for it. :-)

This has been a fantastic program - I've had a ball. But, for now?
It's goodnight from me! :-D
